Part 1 of 2. I purchased a 2025 VW Taos by end of Nov 2025 from the Scala VW in Evanston. By Dec 10th and December 12th, the Dashboard was flashing warning messages about the sensors, yellow warning lights and SOS lights. I took the vehicle to the shop and supposedly was fixed. In Jan 10th, I had the same issue and took xxxxxxand video of the warning light on the dash and now my doors would not lock or unluck at the push of a button as it should. While my vehicle was in the shop the service team member took my car home (these happened the first 3 times I took my car to the shop for repair for the same issue) and since I have a VW application, I was getting notification when the auto was driven and the doors were opened and the car was operated. Some days, MY vehicle was driven more than 100 miles per day and all the way until mid-night. I have the photos of the times and dates when this happened. I was told by the service person that my VW Taos had to be driven to discover if the repairs worked- THEY DID NOT!! 100 miles per day and from 5pm to midnight?? On January 8th I had the same issues with the dash and the doors were not unlocking and locking with the push of the button. Locks were fixed dash was NOT. Once again, the technician took my car to see if it was working with the computer, etc., I realized that my VW Taos was being used for personal errands when I received another notification that it was being used past 11pm. I decided to use the GPS on my VW app and located my vehicle. When I found it, (I took photos and videos of this or course) there were drink bottles on the passenger seat, energy bottles and an empty water bottle on the mat of the passage seat with a gym bag in the trunk. I am not convinced that my VW Taos car was driven with the computer connected to see of the repairs worked. I brought this to the shop personnel, and they made nothing of it but it stopped being driven after hours without my consent. Jan 8th same issued with the dashboard; I am told to call VW to update the software. VW corporate tells me that the software on my 2025 Taos is up to date. KEEP IN MIND THAT I ALSO PURCHASED A WARRANTY FOR ALMOST EVERYTHING EXCEPT FOR AN OIL CHANGE. Feb 7th same message on the dash with warning, SOS, and yellow light and something about my sensors not working. Another shop trip and this time the service person is telling me that they did everything they could, everything that VW told them to check, and they cannot find a solution. I talked to Sam and Bill about the Lemon law, and they did NOTHING to help me!! I spoke in person with to the VW in Evanston Service Manager Bill Dolan and the Dealership Manager Sam Lotta. They looked into it and told the best course of action was to write a petition for a buy back to VW corporate and they would reply within 60 days. This was back in March 2025, and it is now August 1st and I have not heard from VW and when I asked Mr. Dolan and Mr. Lotta, they tell me that VW is working on it. Back to the timeline. I picked up the car from the shop and a day later the Dash warning light are coming up, now stress is starting to build up, worry the vehicle might harm me and my two girls and wife while we are driving it. Imagine what could happen if we are driving in the highway at 55-70 miles per hour (depending on the speed limit)
